MEAT IS IMMORAL
The production and consumption of meat is cruel to animals, devastating to the environment, exploitative to workers, and a dire threat to every habitat on earth. If you want to end the horrific animal cruelty while protecting our planet for future generations, please help us spread the word about the immorality of meat in modern times.
MEAT IS IMMORAL
FOR ANIMALS
Each year, over 90 BILLION animals suffer a lifetime of misery and pain in tiny cages and pens before being brutally slaughtered. And that's just land animals - the impact on sea-life is just as horrific. The mass production of thinking, feeling, suffering creatures as consumer products is deeply immoral in modern times as it's totally unnecessary for humans to live happy, healthy, productive lives. Let's face it, meat is immoral.
MEAT IS IMMORAL
FOR CLIMATE
According to the United Nations, animal agriculture is one of the largest causes of climate change and is the primary driver of global deforestation, especially in the Amazon rain forest. A recent report from Stanford University showed that one gram of protein from beef is responsible for 250 times more greenhouse gas emissions than the same amount of protein from legumes. Let's face it, meat is immoral.
MEAT IS IMMORAL
FOR WORKERS
Killing is a bloody, brutal and hands-on job. It’s so horrific, workers often develop depression, PTSD, and even commit suicide. If they’re lucky, they work minimum wage, but according the Huntington Post, an estimated 38% are undocumented immigrants forced to work for almost nothing, often in unsafe conditions, many trafficked into the US so they could be exploited by the industry. Let's face it, meat is immoral.
MEAT IS IMMORAL
FOR HUMANITY
We live on a planet of limited resources, especially clean water, fertile land, and sustainable energy. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, producing meat requires 17 times more land, 14 times more water and 10 times more energy than the same nutrition from plants. The fact is, meat is a threat to the survival and well-being of humanity. Let's face it, meat is immoral.
TAKE ACTION
What would happen if everyone stopped consuming animals?
If everyone stopped consuming animal products, the world’s food-related emissions would drop by 70% according to a recent report from Oxford University and National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). The savings would be more than the exhaust emissions from every car, train, ship and aircraft on the planet. And more importantly, ceasing the consumption of meat, eggs and dairy would eliminate the torture and slaughter of 90 billion animals a year. At the same time, it would slow the relentless destruction of natural habitats, protecting wildlife around the globe.
